Overview
DiskMapper is a Mac app for visualizing disk usage and reviewing files or folders before moving selected items to Trash. The app scans only locations you choose and processes scan results on your Mac.
Local File Data
DiskMapper reads file and folder metadata needed to build the disk map, such as names, paths, sizes, file types, and modification dates. This information is used locally to show treemaps, largest-file lists, cleanup candidates, and file details.
DiskMapper does not upload file contents, file names, folder names, paths, scan results, cleanup candidates, or deletion activity to our servers.
DiskMapper may save the latest scan cache locally in your Mac user account so the app can reload the last scan faster. You can remove this local data by deleting the app's Application Support data for DiskMapper.
Analytics
On first launch, DiskMapper sends a small analytics ping so we can understand app installs and basic app health. The ping may include the app name, app version, build number, macOS version, device architecture, a first-launch page value, a referrer value, and standard network information such as IP address and user agent.
This analytics data is used for aggregate analytics. It is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking across apps or websites.
Data Sharing
We do not sell DiskMapper data. We do not share your local file scan data because it is not uploaded by the app.
